The business model for a typical panel beating organization (Automotive Body Repairer ABR) has not evolved to adapt to the changing economic environment. Farber Coach Works is constantly looking for ways to improve and adapt its offering to meet its customer demands and set the standard in sector.

We believe that it is time for a radical change and therefore will be launching an offering that is both state-of-the-art and efficient in meeting customer needs. Farber Coach Works is a centralized Auto Body Repair operation that is specially designed to restore vehicles in less than five working days on average from receiving the parts to the delivery of the vehicle. It is the size, flow and processes in the business that ensures that we are one of the most efficient Auto Body Repairers in Cape Town.

Kuven Reddy, an entrepreneur, seasoned businessman and community leader has been at the forefront of innovation and technology in the ABR sector. He, together with his wife & partner Shereen, have successfully grown and maintained another ABR business in KZN called Ross Champion Motors.

Due to increased demand from our business partners, we needed to increase capacity so we opened Farber Coach Works in Epping and Ottery.

Our highly skilled employee’s restore our clients’ vehicles to the highest possible standards. Our remuneration and incentive model, together with our quality assurance systems are specifically designed to ensure that they live the joint purpose of “getting you back on the road”.
We use the latest rack bench system, coupled with a computerized measuring system called Celette and Chief to handle major structural repairs. This equipment is maintained and utilized according to manufacturer’s specifications which guarantee that the restoration process is done according to the vehicle manufacturer’s standards.

Stripping & Panel Beating

Paint Preparation & Spray Painting
Our workshop has numerous dry flatting preparation bays and infrared curing systems to ensure that the panels are prepared for painting using the most technically advanced and up to date methods. Paintwork is carried out in dust free down draught spray booths and curing ovens. We only use Nexa paints which is 100% water based eco-friendly paints.

Assembly
The assembly process is done by experienced technicians whom live our essence “getting you back on the road”. Our just in time (JIT) procurement system for parts ensure that the right part is delivered at the right time.

We take quality assurance very seriously at Farber. QA is practiced at each stage in the repair process; we call it “quality at source”. The final QA process (before the vehicle and owner are reunited) is done with precision and care. In fact our head of QC is rewarded for finding faults, which means that no vehicle leaves with a fault or blemish.

Should a client’s vehicle be damaged or stolen while in our care, our generous public liability insurance is in place to assist where necessary.

We have formal agreements and relationships with most major insurance companies, brokers and vehicle manufacturers.

Farber Coach Works is the approved repairer for the following car brands:

We are a BEE level one contributor with a 135% procurement recognition level together with the value added supplier status.

Whilst we rarely play the previously disadvantage card our BEE credentials making doing business with us very easy.

Farber Coach Works received the green friendly approval from Mark Gordon (Department of Energy Affairs – Green Industry Initiative). The reasons for this accolade are as follows:

  • We use Nexa paints– an eco-friendly water based paint
  • We have state-of-the-art waste disposal systems for both chemical and packaging waste
  • Damaged vehicle parts are recycled to non-warranty vehicles via our community based project

We are approved by all major Insurance companies and understand their claims processes. We facilitate the completion of the claims and assessment process.
Our customer services department and our workshop are in constant communication with one another to ensure that the client is updated on a regular basis on the status of the restoration process. This ensures that our clients are continuously communicated with and updated, to manage expectations.
